To find out what it's all about click on the link below www.suffolk.gov.uk/suffolkcu SCHOOLS RECEIVE NATIONAL RECOGNITION Congratulations to many of our schools who have acheived the Activemark or Sportsmark kitemarks in recognition of the amount of PE and sports opportunity they offer in schools. To see the list of schools click here... OLYMPIC ATHLETE VISIT 8 of our schools recently received a visit from South African hockey GK Mariette Rix. Mariette inspired pupils (and staff) with a special presentation which showed her experiences of the Beijing Olympics.    PLAYRANGER SCHEME A joint project will take place in the Easter holidays between the GVTSSP and Mid Suffolk District Council. Some of our coaches will be on hand during the holidays to offer sporting opportunities in local parks. The sessions are free and very informal. Children can turn up and play with any of the equipment which the coaches will bring along in the GVTSSP van. Venues will include Stowmarket, Combs, Redgrave and Thurston. The Easter project is a pilot and if all goes well, may be repeated in the summer holidays.

Partnership Summary Our Partnership is based at Stowmarket High School and covers the areas of Mid Suffolk and part of St Edmundsbury. Our purpose is to increase sports opportunities for more young people through co-ordinated PE, school sport and out-of-school-hours learning activities that link with local community sports facilities and development programmes.
